Ah The Good Old Days... Back to my humble (read as embarrassing) roots. We can't all start out as the champions of good taste, and we all had to start somewhere. Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill could very well be that wine for the Rogue Sommelier. This wine seemed to be ever present at almost every renaissance faire that I stepped foot in. This wine should be paired with nothing but good times. It is what it is... sweet, floral, fruity, and fun. Should you try to savor it with a good cheese, or a fine cut of Salmon? NO! But you may want to sit on a foot bridge next to your favorite reservoir and share it a good friend on a hot summer night. To me, this wine will always symbolize the youthful, footloose, and fancy free attitude of my days working at Ren Faires, and serve as a reminder that perhaps we should try retain those attitudes. Actually... chill it up real good, throw in a splash of vodka and you got something that really works! I found it quite a refreshing alternative to heavy juice laden mixed drinks. Try this wine with Tostitos Hint of Lime Chips and a bit of Mango Peach Salsa... Surprisingly Good.
