I don't normally quote the New York Times, but they have a terrific article posing a simple, but timely question: "Do you think teenagers drinking wine with their parents at home encourages reckless drinking or more responsible habits with alcohol later in life?"
Can Sips at Home Prevent Binges?
I live in PA — and the law strictly forbids children from drinking alcohol — even under a parent's direct supervision, which is simply wrong. (But since I don't have kids... no problem.) Responsible adults teach children to be responsible. Stupid laws teach children disrespect for all laws. Thus I have Spoken. |
